There is a population of 7 billion with nearly half living on less than £1.60 a day and a quarter on 80p a day. A staggering 60 percent of the world’s hungry are women. If this wasn't alarming enough - 22,000 children die each day due to hunger. Yet there is sufficient food in the world for this never to need occur.
We believe it is our duty to fight poverty. We want to foster a community of game changers, who can bring about economic balance.
663 million people in the world live without clean water, that’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family, the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.
Access to clean water means education, income and health - especially for women and kids.
Education has the power to transform children’s futures. But right now, 57 million children around the world are not in school. Education can help:
- Reduce poverty
- Reduce malnutrition
- Improve health
- Reduce inequality
Medical emergencies are crucial in saving lives but we also want to help charities that are focusing on creating long term and sustainable health solutions through research here in the UK and abroad.
Orphans are the most vulnerable children in the world. For most of them, a permanent family is not an immediate option. Alone and without care, they are exposed to the worst our world has to offer.
Out of more than 153,000,000 orphans worldwide, only 23,609 were adopted in 2011. That's less than 1%. Help us to support charities that are building sustainable future for orphans worldwide.
The Earth is our only home but it's under threat. Global temperature rising out of control, homes destroyed or people killed by unpredictable climate change, collapse of clean water supplies, fish stocks or forests.
We want to unite, inspire and empower people to take the urgent action needed to protect the environment for current and future generations.
We are determined to help charities that are working to end animal cruelty and save endangered animals throughout the world.
